Use of 'given to'

Hi

Is this sentence natural English?

She didn't seem/look like the one given to gossiping. (=she did not like the person who gossiped.)

Thanks,

Tom

I think you messed that up and meant "(=she did not look like the person who gossiped.)"

If you delete "the", they both work fine, although I can't think what one given to gossiping might look like. "Given to" is of a rather higher register than you normally hear in casual speech, and I would expect "She didn't seem like a gossip."
