Use of future tense 'will' and 'be going to'

Hello,

Would anyone tell me which sentence below is normally used?

1. 'I'm just calling to ask you if you will attend the meeting today at two.'

2. 'I'm just calling to ask you if you are going to attend the meeting today at two.'

Personally, I feel both of the sentences are right.

There might be a subtle different nuance, but which sentence do you think is commonly used?

Thank you for your help in advance.

Regards,

Hiroshi

Both are fine. My sense of the nuance is this: #1 is slightly more formal, asking for a commitment. #2 is less formal, asking for information or intention.
