Can you write on May 1-30 instead of from May 1 to 30 since one should never write from May 1-30?

Top answer

-- Well, I wouldn't say you should never write from May 1-30 , since it is done often enough informally and the meaning is clear. On the other hand, the meaning is a little fuzzy for on May 1-30 . What is meant, exactly?
