Use of for and to

1. To me you are the best coach.
For me you are the best coach.
Which of the above two sentences is more appropriate ?
Can we use " For " to mean " in my opinion " as in the second sentence ?

2. Love me for who I am.
What is the significance of "for" in this sentence ?
