Use of faraway

Hi

I heard David Cameron use faraway something like this.

David Letterman: Do you mind if I ask you a couple of questions?

David Cameron: Faraway.

Is the use natural both in AmE and BrE?

Thanks,

Tom

I'm sure he said "Fire away" not "Faraway".

The expression is not "faraway" but "fire away", meaning "Shoot", in other words go ahead and ask me a couple of questions". A common expression, and very natural.
