Use of 'dismiss' and 'end' with school

Hi

Could you please tell me how you find the use of 'end' and 'dismiss' with school?

  1. We often went to the old shop after school was dismissed.
  2. We often went to the old shop after school ended.
  3. What time is your school dismissed on Fridays?
  4. What time does your school end on Fridays?
  5. School ended early because of the harsh weather.
  6. School was dismissed early because of the harsh weather.
