Use of cool air

Hi

Is the bold sentence natural English? Any suggestions please?

(To someone who is sitting at the back of a car / van...inquiring if they are air cooled)

Driver: Is the cool air reaching you?

Passenger: Yes, but definitely not the way it's reaching you. Could you turn the shutters towards us a bit?

Thanks,

Tom

PS: I hope shutters is the right choice?

'Shutters' is not a suitable word. We don''t really have a common term for the gizmos you are talking about. Maybe 'the vents'.
