Use of "conversation"

Hi, everybody !

I'm trying to get a handle on "conversation". Could you tell me which (if any) phrases are correct ?

1.1. Yesterday I had a conversation with my boss. Her name came up in the conversation

1.2. Yesterday I had a conversation with my boss. Her name came up in conversation

2.1. Did the boss bring her problem up in the yesterday's meeting? Yes, her name came up in the conversation

2.2. Did the boss bring her problem up in the yesterday's meeting? Yes, her name came up in conversation

I'm trying to get a handle on "conversation". Could you tell me which (if any) phrases are correct ?


1.1. Yesterday I had a conversation with my boss. Her name came up in the conversation
'The' is fine. It makes the refeence specific.
But why repeat the word conversation? I;d just say 'Her name came up'. We know that we are talking about a conversation.
