It’s not a sentence. You will need to add something after because, e.g., The fight didn’t continue because the ref stopped it.

Think about it.

Didn't = form of 'to do'

After a form of 'to do' (= do, does, did, don't, doesn't, didn't) you always use the bare infinitive (=continue)

Please note that didn't is short for did not.
