Use of Colon in a sentence

Hi,

I am struggling a bit with punctuation in this sentence:

Count on German safety: When your daughter drives home for Christmas.

My Questions:

Is the use of colon correct? And if not how the sentence should look like?

And if the Colon use is correct, should the word after it be capitalised?

Many Thanks in advance.
