Can we say " Don't challenge me on this " to mean " Don't challenge me to do this."?

My first thought is that you mean "I've given my decision and it's final. Don't try to argue with me about it."

OR

"This is my project/my idea/my [something] and don't you dare suggest it should be otherwise."
