Is the use of bound natural here? Any other better options?
After her convincing story, I was bound to trust her.
After he cheated me, I was bound to distrust him.

Both are fine.

Either. They're almost the same. One dictionary says 'mistrust' is a feeling that you shouldn't trust someone while 'distrust' is not trusting someone.
