Use of articles in job description

To assist receptionist with patient coordination; schedule follow-up visits and answer
calls/books appointments as necessary.

Hi,

Above is one of the job duties of a profession I found on Google.

I was just wondering whether the usage of "receptionist", without using any articles or making it plural, is grammatically sound.

My guess is that strict rules can be bent when it comes to job descriptions. Am I wrong?

In normal situation, the word should either be preceded by "the" or be plural, to indicate the general sense of the word, right?

Thanks for your help.

It has nothing to do with job descriptions, but articles are often omitted before nouns when creating bullet lists or similar outlines.
