dear friends, if I want to describe a family that most of its members are artist, I can describe it as "a family of artists". Is it also correct to describe it as "an artist family"? Or should it be "an artist-family"?

Thanks for the swift reply. Let me seek more clarification. Seems "artistic family" is emphasizing more on the artistic nature of the family, which I feel is a little bit different from "artist family" which emphasizes that members of family themselves are artist. Would appreciate if you can comment further on this. By the way, is the use of "an artist family" completely wrong
