Use of articles

I read a book yesterday in which they wrote like this;

I am Omani

He is American.

She is Turkish.

are these sentences correct?

In my openoin we should use article.

That is;

I am an Omani.

He is an English.

She is a Turkish.

Am I right ?.

I am a beginner in English. So my doubts are so simple and basics. They make me so confuse.

Kindly help me.

The simple rule is that a/an can only be used with a noun , not with an adjective . Some words can be both a noun and an adjective. With them, a/an is optional.
