Use of article "the".

I have a question regarding the usage of the article "the" in particular sentence.

"John Smith graduated from the Moscow University of Service" or " John Smith graduated from ___Moscow University of Service". Which one is correct? And if both are right depending on the context, in which cases the article "the" should be used and which not? Thanks in advance.
