Use of article

Is the use of definite/ indefinite article is necessary in a sentence. And without using the article would the sentence be wrong?

Top answer

Even if you leave out all the articles in a sentence, it's still possible to understand it. However, such a sentence would be considered ungrammatical and would sound unnatural to anyone who speaks English.

It depends on the sentence. You can have a correct sentence without articles:

Mary and Bob went shopping yesterday.
