Use of apostrophes

When you write "dos and don'ts", should there be an apostrophe after do, so it is written"do's and don'ts"

This doesn't make sense to me, as it is plural not possessive!

The best I can tell you from something "official" is from the Oxford Advanced Learners dictionary, which gives the idiom:

dos and don'ts - (also do's and don'ts) (informal) rules that you should follow
