Use of Apostrophe

Hi,

I linve in a Cottage. It used to belong to the gardener, who kept the gardens neat and tidy for
the Estate that owns the property.

I want to make a sign for my cottage, should it be called "Gardener's Cottage" or
"Gardeners Cottage". Is the use of the apostrophe correct - or is it not needed?
