On these sentences that describe a list of events is it a rule in english to conclude with and before the last item or subject. It sounds better with and but is this at the writers discretion.


The activities include a search for lost treasure, dubious financial dealings, much discussion of ancient heresies.

The robbers completed the bank robbery, there were no casualites, there were no witnesses.




Here 'the' is omitted: Car is left hand drive and vehicle licence plate belongs to another country.
