Use of an definite article in "New Year Party"

Hello comrades. I am squeezing my head to find an answer to this question, but to no avail.
Can somebody help me with it? I think the right choice is D or A.Emotion: thinking Thank you beforehand.

Of the choices you provide only B is acceptable. If left to my own devices I would say "The most common type of celebration is the New Year's Party."
