Use of 11 o'clock

Hi

Would you say that the red part is natural English?

11 o'clock = showing direction

I put the fork on my plate 11 o'clock.

Thanks,

Tom

You'd have to say at 11 o'clock. But really, we do't say that kind of thing very much. The only expression that comes to mind is To drive properly, put your hands on the steering wheel at ten to two.

Mr. TomI put the fork on my plate 11 o'clock.

That does not make sense to me. Is this what you mean?

I put the end of the fork at the center of the plate, with the tines pointing to 11:00.

Formal place setting:

Put the bread plate at the 10:00 position, leaving a distance of about an inch from the edge of the service plate.
