Usage of words in the lyrics

This won't fetch the sad sheen from your eye
Your heed is hard to occupy

Is it OK to use expression "fetch the sad sheen" (it's kind of metaphor) in first line if I mean to say "cause eyes to fill with tears"? Can I use a word "heed" in such way in the second line?

Top answer

This won't fetch the sad sheen from your eye OK, except I'd say 'to' instead of 'from' . Your heed is hard to occupy I don't know what this means. Do you?
