Usage of word "knowingly"

Hey...

I was wondering how we use the word "knowingly" in a sentence. I know it is an adverb, but am not sure in what context we use it.

And here's another one - "Knowing this is important" .. is this sentence grammatically correct ?

Thanks,
N

Hi,
Yes.
Consider this simple example. He gave her a knowing look. Here, 'knowing' is an adjective. The idea is that the look suggests he knows what she is thinking in some way.
