Grammar

Usage of "which" in this sentence do problematic?

Grammar correction, help.? The invention of a certain, crucially relevant tool or machine initiates huge changes in the environment which, in turn, engineer initiates transformations in both man's social relations and his perception of experience.

in the middle of that, he used "which," but it can be error to grammar.

I think it would be more appropriate if it were revised as "in which."

so it goes;

.....in the environment in which, in turn, engineer initiates transforms in both ........

did i do right?!

how's your opinion?
