Usage of the word modify

"I want you to come here." "I saw them coming here."

Can we say this word modify to explain to come here and coming here?

I know that we can say "good" modifies "day" in a good day and "slowly" modifies "walk" in walk slowly but all of a sudden, I was wondering if we can use the word modify to explain object complements like to come here and coming here?
