Is it correct to use the word "anticipatory" in the following sentence?

"The director uses another clever anticipatory to highten our suspense by showing the killer only ten minutes before the ending"

Just out of curiosity, what do you think is a reasonable time for someone to have a chance to see your post and answer it? Does it occur to you that some people are sleeping while you are typing? Or working? Or taking care of their families?
