Usage of stumble

Hi,

Can I say "Did I stumble you"?
Or should I say "Did I cause you to stumble"?

What esle can I say?

It would be "Did I trip you?", not "Did I stumble you?".

If you want to use the word stumble, you should use "Did I make you stumble?". "Did I cause you to stumble?" is, of course, correct, but it sounds quite stilted to me.
