Usage of 'Restricted to'

I'm just wondering if it's correct to say ' As a Patrol Officer, you are restricted to drive a police cruiser'

Usage of restricted here means that you can only drive a police cruiser not the vehicles that are meant for higher officer ranks.

Am I correct here ? If not why ? please specify this a little for me.
