Usage of reflexive pronouns and exceptions

We usually use reflexive pronouns when objects are the same as subjects like I love myself, they killed themselves, etc, but I have learned that there are some exceptions with about, behind, beside, on, in front of, etc. like He looked about him, Do you have money on you, etc and I have understood the point. However, I was wondering if we also can apply the rule to usage of "in", and I have tried to find any examples but I failed. So I would like to ask if you have any good examples with which we can explain another exception of usage of reflexive pronouns and the preposition, it? I am sorry about this too ambiguous question, But I really need your help. Thank you so much in advance.

I can't think of any examples that don't use the verb have.

After the accident she was taken to the hospital for surgery. The surgeon found that she had a bullet in her.

Whatever you read about it is misleading. It's the whole expression, not just the preposition, that has to be considered when deciding if you're dealing with an exception.

He always talks about himself.
She trusts in herself.
