Usage of 'nowadays'

1. I am working out a lot nowadays.

2. I work out a lot nowadays.

Which one is natural to native English speakers?

If there is a difference, could you tell me when I should use 1 or 2?

Thank you so much as usual in advance.

The first has more emphasis ("am" helps this) on the action and its happening ("working out") than on the timing ("nowadays"). The second (unless expressed with emphasis or followed up with more detail) is a more casual passing on of information. d
