Usage of kindly and please

Could you let me know should we need to use kinldy or please while drafting a formal letter?

Hello, Anusha. Well, the main thing to remember is that they are synonymous, so DON'T use them together: (X) Would you kindly please sign the enclosed.... Just use one of them: Would you kindly sign OR Would you please sign.
