Grammar

Usage of halfway.

He intended to leave immediately as he felt affronted.

But he stopped ''halfway from me''.

But he stopped ''halfway down from me''.

But he stopped ''halfway down the corridor from me''.

Are the quoted parts of the sentences right?

We all have aspirations.
We should never stop ''halfway between the beginning and the peak of success''.
We should never stop ''halfway down the path from the beginning to the peak of success''.
These sentences are a bit literary? Are the constructions (specifically the quoted parts) right?
I'm not sure about the way I have used the part following 'halfway'. Could you please help?
