Usage of first name and middle name
Dear Sir/Madam,
I'm from Andhra Pradesh,a southern state of India.My name as per school and college records is "Vedam Dattatreya Hruthik".I have no confusion regarding my surname or last name(i.e.,Vedam).But i have problem with my first name and middle name so as to fill up the forms.
Here,hruthik is a name given to me by my parents when i was born.They attached "dattatreya",name of a god in hinduism,as they worshipped him. Now my parents and every one call me hruthik. At this point of view,which one is my first name and middle name?

In my opinion, your "first" name is Hruthik. That's what people call you. You can list Dattatreya as your middle name.

In my opinion, your "first" name is Hruthik. That's what people call you. You can list Dattatreya as your middle name.
Many of us have middle names only to honor relatives, and we are not called by that name (except when we were children and we were in trouble: Thomas Andrew, you get over here right now!)
