Usage of can/could

Hello teachers,

Please tell whether I have used 'can/could' correctly in the following paragraph. Also please let me know if there are any other grammar mistakes.

"If we keep aside a part of our income every month, say about Rs 100, then one can save Rs 1200 every year. I guess anyone who is getting a handsome salary can do this. We can use this amount for our project.

The success of our project depends on the number of people coming forward voluntarily. If only two persons could do this, we save Rs 2400 for an year, it will be helpful for the education of 1-2 students. If 10 people could do this, more than 5 students takes the help.

We should start the project without keeping the number of students in our mind. First, we should take an initiative to help as many students as possible. let it be only 1 or a 2. It doesn't matter. If we could do this successfully for an year, we can extend it for another year also.

This is just my suggestion. Anyone can add to this. "

thank you
