Usage of "ANY"

Hello!

Could you help me with this?

Perhaps it is correct, but is sounds strange to me....

"Do you practise any sports?" I would have written any sport....(not sports in plurar).

Similar usage when saying.... taking about the sea...."without any waves"

Thank you VERY much

Hi, The plural is fine, and probably the more common. Do you do practise any sports? Sounds like you think I might do more than one.
