Usage of adverb "anymore"

" I didn't do that anymore." as in the idea that, "I was punished for taking the gum. I did not do that anymore!"? I understand that one might say again instead of anymore and that spoken English often differs from the written word. Should anymore be used only with a present tense verb?

Hi, I think it's ok, you can use it with past tenses too.

Either again or anymore is fine in that kind of statement. Tense does not enter into it.
