Usage of a proverb

Hi,

I'm curious about this proverb: A lean peace is better than a fat victory

I know that the British use this proverb, but I'm not sure about Americans... (OMG, I'm so out of it)

Could you answer my question, please: do Americans use that proverb nowadays or do they not ?

Thanks !

That was flash-fast Emotion: smile

(the American Corpus is of the same opinion, only one hit)
