Usage in these examples.

I've just realised if you're new to the area, then you won't know where the bank is.
He just said if you're new to the area, then you won't know where the bank is.


Should there be a comma before if or a that if.








I thought on the day that he was diagnosed that life was over. That my families lives were going to be ruined forever.


Is this ok, or would it be better with an and conjunction ?
