Is it OK to say "Happy to hear of your wedding" in British English?

The sentences that Vsrao have suggested are fine, however we are unlikely to say we are happy to hear about a person's wedding and tell them as a 2nd person, (who would say they were unhappy about it). A native speaker is more likely to just say congratulations on getting married/your engagement.
