URGENT: PLEASE help me with my personal statement
Hi everyone,
I want to apply to the university next week, and I'm not used to writing personal statements and to be more honest this is my first one. The personal statement must include : Why do you want to attend this university and this specific major? Your future goals and careers, and include whether you'd like a scholarship or not.
I need it ready at the end of this week and I'm sorry for the short time.
I’m interested in studying languages and business at the xxxxx university. To be more specific I’d like to study the English and the Germany languages, and with the combination of the four different languages that I will know –Arabic, English, French and Germany- I believe that it will help me more to be open minded with the world around me and what’s happening in it and appreciate its beauty. I’m convinced that the more languages a person can know and understand the more passion and sympathetic he’ll show with other people. And by studying business side by side with the Languages major will help in enhancing the communication skills and dealing with people from different backgrounds and understand their requests.
I’d love to be a translator especially if it was in more than one language because a translator to me is like a bridge between two different civilizations. I’m playing this role in my practical life when I’m out with my friends or my family. I translate for them from English to Arabic since I’m more read in the English language.
I’d like to be entered to the scholarship program because I don’t want to have any obstacles in my educational career. I hope that by combining my enthusiastic and thirstiness to knowledge and the high standards of education that the xxxxx university can apply for me will help me achieve my goals in life, and will help guide me in the positive direction I want to go in life.
Studying french in my primary scool helped meonce in my life till now, but it helped me alot and here's the story:
I remember when I was in my ninth grade I had an assignment in my geography class I had to explain a lesson in France’s geography, and I wanted to make something special, something new to impress my teacher and my classmates so I made a simple and brief introduction in the French language .At that time none of my classmates and even the teacher spoke French so it was like a brilliant idea and broke the routine in solving the assignments ,everyone was happy to hear a new language and the most important thing I was satisfied with my and deserved a full mark on that.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon and for any suggestions to correct my statement.
