Urgent help is required on a grammar point.

Who can help me with these two english grammar questions?
A linking verb is a word which shows the state of being and condition.
If you know , you have to tell me what is the difference between the state of being and condition.

Also tell me what is the difference between a modifier and qualifier[adjective]

I am not sure of your source for this terminology, Sooris, but I suppose that the state of being would be with a noun complement (He is a Swede) and condition would be with a predicate adjective (He is blond)

Also, in some (older?) grammars, premodifiers (a handsome man) are called modifiers while postmodifiers (
