: : : Urgent help!!!!!! Compound words

Dear everybody,

I am translating quite a technical essay, so I am trying to say in English that the area we are talking about "...constitutes a very valuable area, not only because of its geological-mining richness, but as well for its..."

so, here comes my question:

If the area is very rich in geological as well as mining aspects, can I made 1 word made with both terms and say geological-mining? Or does it sound bad?

Please, if anybody can tell me if it is gramatically correct or what would be the right term to use here, I would be very pleased.

Thanx in advance,

  • My advice is to avoid these kind of hyphenated terms.
  • Some people like them because they think they sound important and technical, but really they sound jargon-y and imprecise.
