Urgent! Grammer help needed on History Report Due Tomorrow (11-5-03)

My history teacher assigned us a report and procrastinating me waited until the last moment to do it. Please comment on my grammar, spelling etc. My teacher’s pet peeve is passive voice so correction suggestions on this would be great. I have no idea how he came up with the idea on what the report is on so don’t ask, just help me with my writing. Also, I would be much appriciative if you could suggest some changes in vocabulary to make it sound like an 11th grade student I am. I converted it to Adobe PDF to be easier to read. Thanx much
