URGENCY QUESTİON

Hello I have a question.My teachers ask cloze tests taken from National Geography Magazine,Time magazine in exams.but I cant understand them and find very difficult to understand especially tenses in them.what can I do about this?

Haven't we been through this already? You cannot learn tenses in a day. It is a vast subject, not to mention the other points you find difficult.
