Upon raising? (in medication)

Hi, I happened to find the following expression on my OTC medicine: recommended take 1 capsule daily ~~ upon raising.

I googled "upon raising" and looked it up in a dictionary but I couldn't really figure out what it actually means.

In American English that would be "on rising", i.e., when you get up in the morning.
