Up to 2 days ago???

- You are absent from Vietnamese class for recent 2 days.
We know even though sometimes you are late to Vietnamese lesson, you are never absent from the lesson until 2 days ago. That's why we are curious why you have been absent.

I think that "until 2 days ago" looks odd. Could you check whether it is grammatically right?

Thank you in advance for your teaching.
