oops, I left out one.

We decided to tile up the old fireplace.

is it possible it means 'completely' & 'finished'?

Hi again,
oops, I left out one.
We decided to tile up the old fireplace. This does not sound natural. If I had to guess, it sounds like you are blocking up the fireplace completely, using tiles. This is not a likely thing to do. I'd brick up mine.
