Up and down roller

I have to translate a short assembly instruction but I do not know what this appliance is ment for and do not know if words "up" and "down" mean direction of movement or upper and lower position. This is somethind for the shower.

Water proof bar

Water proof bar (short)

Down roller

Cut water proof bar C2 in 2 pcs, length fitting down side of the fixed glass, inserting it. Connect the up and down rail to the panel upright&fixed glass, connect the rails together with plastic corner.

(B1, B2, E1, E4, E3, C2,Cross screw driver)

Assemble the up Rollers and down Rollers on the door Glass

Put the door glass into the up and down rail. Insert the Water Proof bar C1.

This sounds like it's already the victim of at least one bad translation. I suspect "waterproof" is one word, not two. I get the impression that these are glass panels, one (or more) fixed, and one movable, as a slide-up/roll-up door - but I've never seen such a thing in a shower.

The more I think about it, it must be sliding glass doors for a tub shower.

Sometimes both panels are movable, but in this case it seems that one is stationary.
(I just noticed that I misspelled "panels" in the previous post.)

The door slides back and forth in channels mounted above and below, and apparently has rollers in both positions. I don't know how many.

Hi Avangi,

thank you for your consideration, it is really a shower enclosure, I asked the customer. I could send you the complete installation instruction if you are really interested ;-)

This was just a small part from a large instruction which made the thing sound difficult.

I'm okay if you're okay. Emotion: smile

But I'm really curious: What language were the instructions originally written in? Surely not

Looking back, and assuming the door slides horizontally, the expression "the up and down rail" refers to "orientation."
"How is the rail positioned/situated?" (reply) "Up and down." (meaning, "vertically.")

Which rail? The up and down one.
So "rail" does not necessarily refer to the channels in which the door rolls/slides, as these would be horizontal.

Not much help. Both panels (glass doors) slide, so you can open at the back of the tub or at the front of the tub.
The rollers are in fact attached to the glass doors, but at the top only. So the doors are suspended as it were from the top rollers, two on each door. You might say that the rollers ride/traverse on an overhead rail.
However, I think the term "rail" is used more generall

The instruction should originate from Germany but the agency normally has only native translators. I translate for this agency into Ukrainian.
