Unusual wording- grammar

No sooner was she out of rehab she was back on the drugs again.

I saw this written in a magazine, and felt it was incorrectly written. Am I right? If it's ok, could you please explain how? Emotion: smile

I would say 'as soon as she was out of rehab...'

Am I right to say 'no sooner she was out of rehab' is the dependent clause?

The original uses a "no sooner ... than ..." construction without "than".
